March BBQ

Thanks to the ladies and gentlemen that helped out at the Bunnings sausage sizzle in March.  We would also like to thank the 'Boys on the Barby' as we could not have done it without all your help.  We'd like to thank our visitors as well.  All the ladies had a fun time.  We made a profit of $1,065.78. The food left over was donated to Servants the next day.

Oh we're hot, hot, hot ...

We're all in this together ...

Boroondara Branch members and their partners celebrated the new CWA year with a Danish Brunch on a perfect January Sunday morning recently.

The event was held to raise funds for Streetsmart, which supports grassroots projects helping people experiencing homelessness or at risk.

Danish pastries, cheese, salami and pickles were enjoyed, as was the Trivia Quiz which tested brain power, probably a little too early in the day! Prizes for the winning team represented Danish design, inventiveness and royalty and Princess Claire took immediate possession of her Op Shop, Crown.

Everyone agreed that the event was a good beginning to the CWA 2017 Boroondara year, whilst highlighting, Denmark, the country of study and the social justice issue of homelessness.
Here we all are ...

Now men think, think ...

The 'insiders' who won the Trivia quiz on Denmark ...

Boroondara would like to invite other branches to support ...

Contact Virginia Ronai (details above) if you want to contribute to this cause.
